Muchos cultivadores la consideran el aloe m\u00e1s bello por la singular formaci\u00f3n en espiral de sus hojas, de color verde gris\u00e1ceo. Por ello, esta suculenta tambi\u00e9n recibe el nombre de \"Aloe espiral\". Su nombre, \"polyphylla\", deriva de dos palabras griegas: \"poly\", que significa \"muchos\", y \"phylla\", que significa \"hojas\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La formaci\u00f3n en espiral del Aloe polyphylla es su caracter\u00edstica m\u00e1s llamativa y es la principal raz\u00f3n por la que los cultivadores se sienten motivados a plantarlo en sus respectivos jardines. Tanto si la espiral se mueve en el sentido de las agujas del reloj como en sentido contrario, las hojas est\u00e1n dispuestas de forma que la espiral tiene un aspecto perfecto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cada vuelta de la espiral tiene entre 15 y 30 hojas. Las hojas del Aloe espiral son anchas y tienen puntas afiladas de color marr\u00f3n viol\u00e1ceo. Esta suculenta produce flores de color rosa salm\u00f3n en primavera y a principios de verano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El Aloe polyphylla pertenece a la familia de las alo\u00e1ceas y es originario de las monta\u00f1as Maluti de Lesotho. Puede crecer hasta 30 cm de altura.
