Its oddly enchanting thick green leaves with the fuzzy exterior and dark red spindly edges are why this succulent is also called Bear\u2019s Paw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When stressed out or given regular sun exposure, the tips of the leaf turns into a darker shade of red. Each leaf has around 3 to 10 sharp edges or \u201cclaws\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unlike its burly namesake, Bear\u2019s Paw is a small, succulent-shrub that can reach a height of 30cm (12\u201d) and 61cm (24\u201d) wide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cotyledon tomentosa is native to Ladismith in the Karoo region of the Western Cape of South Africa.
